Giacomo Capuzzo represented the MOLA project at the LX Riunione Scientifica of the Istituto Italiano di Preistoria e Protostoria (IIPP), held in Bologna from 22 to 25 October 2025, within the conference “Contesti e paesaggi funerari tra Eneolitico e antica età del Bronzo”. He presented the talk: “Mobilità e storie di vita nelle Alpi orientali italiane tra età del Rame e antica età del Bronzo: il contributo delle analisi isotopiche sulle sepolture preistoriche”.

The presentation focused on how isotopic analyses of prehistoric burials can reveal patterns of individual mobility and life histories in the eastern Italian Alps between the Copper Age and the Early Bronze Age. By combining funerary archaeology with bioarchaeological and geochemical data, the study demonstrates the potential of isotopic approaches to understand social strategies, movement, and adaptation in mountain environments. The conference was a good opportunity to present MOLA results, exchange ideas, and discuss future research directions with the wider prehistoric research community.
