Research stay at the University of Ottawa in Canada

During fall 2024, Giacomo Capuzzo spent a 2-month research period at the the Ján Veizer Stable Isotope Laboratory and the SAiVE group, Spatio-temporal Analytics of isotopes Variations in the Environment at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the University of Ottawa in Canada. With the collaboration of Clément Bataille, he worked on the measurement of sulfur isotopes on prehistoric human and animal remains for palaeomobility, the modeling of a high-resolution Sr isoscape for the eastern Italian Alps using a machine learning approach, and the strontium-oxygen isotope spatial assignment of prehistoric inhumed individuals buried in the eastern Italian Alps.
